It was just another day at the office, or more precisely at an advertising agency in Hamburg, right at the Alster, a beautiful lake in the middle of the city that likes to call itself "die schönste Stadt der Welt". And even though that might be a bit too bold, the guy who was about to leave for lunch was quite happy with his job, his friends, his home, his life here in Hamburg. Yes, indeed, he was happy. "Hey," his friend, a pretty smart business student who worked part-time at the front desk, called out to him, "wanna move to New York with me? A client covers an apartment." "Okay, let me just grab a quick bite and quit this job."
What followed was one of the funkiest years in our friend's life, who grew up in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere and suddenly lived right inside an awesome R-rated movie, surrounded by the most inspiring, crazy, sexy, dangerous and wonderful cast, produced and directed by the one and only Peter Gatien. Thank you, Peter. Thank you for Limelight, Tunnel, Club USA and Palladium. Thank you, Manhattan. Thank you, Thomas, the Banker. (And a little thank you to our friend's business cards of a made up company called INSIDE MEDIA is also well deserved; they did a great job.)
